Avatar

For this project, I was to create two representations of the inner person within a person. I have used two of my least favorite athletes to portray. I have turned Lebron James into superman to represent his large ego, and I have turned David Beckham into a princess because he is a wuss. I like my project and would not change it.

Accumulative project

For this project, my goal was to create a poster that would represent my greatest works of the year. I have used an underwater theme to display my robinson cano, 15 green things, creation creature, and my michael jordan projects. I used the brightness to make it seem like the water background and the coral are part of the same picture, when in actuality they are not. I like it and would not change it.

For this project, I was supposed to create a cutout of a word that applies to the theme of the film: Hotel Rwanda. I used the word injustice as it is seen in the violation of Tutsi rights in the movie. I cutout the word and put photos from the movie behind the cutout. I like it and would not change it at all.

For this project I was told to make an original movie poster for the movie: Hotel Rwanda. I made this project with my friend Patrick Hicks. I used the theme that Paul, the man in the center is a great diplomat and befriends both sides of the Tutsi/Huutu war. So, we put each side of the war to either side of Paul, and used brightness to make Paul stand out. We also put the title, famous actors, and ratings beneath the poster. We agreed that we like this project and would not change it.

For this project, my goal was to make six projects revolving around a single theme. After just watching the movie: Hotel Rwanda, I used the theme of one man making a difference. My projects each center around a different idol, I used Paul from Hotel Rwanda, Larry Bird, Martin Luther King Jr., Jackie Robinson, Pele, and Michael Jordan. I used opacity, many various filters, brightness, and color change to get the right feel in each image, and I love each of them.

Stencil #2

For this project, I was to create a second stencil project using my own photos and an original background, preferably using gradient. I have used photos taken around my school campus, as well as created a blue gradient. I used photo filter as well as strokes to get the effect I wanted. I like this project and would not change it.

This is a link to my most recent project: create a video on Animoto.com
I had fun using it, and used many of my previous works. It was easy and I would not change it.

Hidden face

For this project, I was to hide a face or some object into a group of objects as well as I could. I have an array of golf gear with a small face of UVA basketball player Assene Sene. I changed the opacity on his head as well as darkened the image for camo. He is hidden in the center.

color wheel stencil

For this project, my goal was to take a stencil shape out of a background and make many different colored versions. I have done so using a star shape as my stencil and a water background. I changed the colors using image adjustments. I like the way this project turned out and would not change it.

4 tutorials

For this project, my goal was to create 4 works based on photoshop tutorials found on photosfunia.com.
First, I have created a project in which I merged the background with an object, using opacity levels.
Next, I created an "extreme grey" tutorial in which I put a charcoal filter as well as changed levels and colors of Donald trump to create a cartoon effect. Next, I created a project in which I merged the sky of two separate images using the eraser tool as well as coloring and opacity. Lastly, I tried to make a 3D type project, using 3D mode, but found out that my computer did not have the most recent version of photoshop. Overall, I enjoyed working on these projects and would not change anything.

This project my goal was similar to the last project, but instead of working in a group, I worked on my own. I used the regular chair rather than the egg chair I previously used. I took photos of a boom box and cool graphics to give an effect of a boombox with music-like effects. I created a shadow by duplicating the layer and changing the color and opacity.

Group Chair

For this project, my goal was to work with a partner to create a chair made of different photo strips.
My partner was my friend Patrick, and we created a chair using the theme of elements. We mainly used the puppet warp tool to manipulate the photos of water, fire ETC. into strips, and then put a drop shadow on it. We liked the way this project turned out and would not change it at all.

inside out

This project my goal was to take a regular image and take other images and put them inside of it.
Overall I was to merge two images. I have done so with fat bastard putting foods and mini me inside of him. I like my work and would not change anything about it.

This project is none other than my midterm Exam totaling 20% of my semester grade. I was required to use all  of the tools listed on a midterm grading rubric AKA: paintbucket, brush tool, gradient tool, type tool, puppet warp, threshold, posterize, photo filter, liquify, filters, transform and rotate, desaturate, stroke, magic wand to delete, and custom shape. I used these tools on various pictures of athletes such as Ray Allen, Shaq, Derek Jeter, and myself. I like how this turned out and would not change it.

This project, my goal was to create a greeting card for any holiday or event of my choosing. I created a christmas card which I pulled off of the web. I used a glow on the lights and I like how it turned out. Since I was crunched for time on this project, this was all I managed to achieve. I like how it turned out and would not change it.

comic

The task for this project was to create a comic that represented some problem of my choosing. My friend Patrick assisted me in making a comic. Our comic was about doritoes that cause mutations, which I told Patrick not to eat and he ate them and became mutated. We used coloring tools and made this look like a sketch in order to give it the look we wanted. I like it and would not change it in any way.

This project my assignment was to make a 3 by 3 grid with 9 pictures of myself and adapting many photoshop features to each one. I used tools such as liquify to bloat, glowing edges , chrome, grain and pastels in order to achieve the look i was going for. I then used a blue cube pattern as my background. I am pleased with my work and would not change it.

Inspiration

My task for today was to look through an Art News magazine and find 2 works that i find interesting. First,  I found a very cool piece of art by an artist by the name of Diego Jacobsen. The painting is an abstract meaningful image using blues, greens, and yellows to give off a calm, aquatic feel to it, while not resembling such a thing at all. I found this interesting because it used such an abstract concept to bear resemblence of many real things. I am interested to see more art by such a talented person.

The other work I found was by an artist by the name of Susan Unterberg, and is labeled "Pisces". The picture looks like a close up f a creature like a fish or a frog and is zoomed in on its eye, although it is hard to determine a distance the camera is to its object. I find this interesting  for this very reason, which makes it mysterious because it is curious to what the picture is actually of. Many glints of light are captured on the "eye" and "body" of the creature(s) making it a bright and light-mooded piece as well.
